The Rhetoric of Discourse and Education: Major Paths and Ways of Didactic Implementation

Abstract

This research attempts to monitor the cross-fertilisation between rhetoric and pedagogy in a way that accommodates the contributions of old and new rhetoric with their imaginative and deliberative dimensions in educational theories, while trying to benefit from the concepts and techniques of rhetoric and poetry that can achieve an education that combines persuasion and enjoyment, and looking for ways to implement them in a way that reconsiders the means and methods with which the teacher works, especially since most of them have become worthless; especially with the responsibilities placed on the teacher's shoulders, such as: Downloading global knowledge and tracking current scientific achievements, both theoretical and applied, while trying to simplify them according to the cognitive needs of learners, which means that the most important issue that frames the topic of this paper is: ‘How can rhetoric be downloaded in a way that helps enrich educational theories by utilising old and new rhetorical contributions that seek to develop learners' skills and foster creative and critical thinking?’.
